Bilingual Parent Institute

What: The ESOL Department is hosting a FREE full-day program to help bilingual parents of students in grades 6 – 12 prepare their child for a successful high school and college education.  (Workshops will be held in Spanish and English with concurrent translations in Haitian Creole and Portuguese).

The workshops include the following topics:

• Preparing Your Student for College/University/Technical Careers
• College Entrance Requirements/Exams
• Selecting and Paying for College
• Barriers to Success: Peer Pressure and New Social Media
• Internet Resources

When: Saturday, FEBRUARY 25, 2012, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
(Lunch will be served and there will be lots of prizes.)
